ION launches video series to support mental wellbeing

Reports tell us that the end of the pandemic may be in sight, yet the last two years have taken their toll on global mental health.

To help those struggling with feelings of anxiety and low mood, the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) has launched a new video series called Food for Thought, designed to help people discover simple dietary and lifestyle changes that can help to support mental wellbeing.

Series presenter Olga Preston, a registered nutrition therapist at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition’s Brain Bio Centre, commented: “This was a really important project for me to get involved with. We wanted to create easy, manageable steps for people to follow, as well as tips to support those around you who may also be struggling.

“Our mental wellbeing can change for all of us throughout our lifetime. But because of the pandemic, people need support with their mental wellbeing more than before.

“Food and lifestyle are two factors that can have a meaningful impact on how we feel, so the series has been created to help people make smart choices to help support their own health and wellbeing.”
