Baked Plums & Figs with Spices

An easy to prepare recipe. Roasting the plums and figs give them plenty of flavour and creates a delicious healthy sweet treat. Serve these with nut cream or yoghurt as a light breakfast or snack.

(serves 4)

Ingredients:
4 plums, halved stone removed
4 fresh figs, halved
250ml red grape juice
2 cinnamon sticks
½ tsp ground cinnamon
4 star anise

Method:
Heat oven to 180C/fan 160C/gas 4.

Arrange the plums and figs in a single layer in shallow baking dish. Pour over the grape juice and add the spices.

Bake for 30 mins until the fruit is soft but not collapsed. Serve warm or cold with yoghurt if wished.
