Nelsons – Calendula Cream

Nelsons – Calendula Cream

Nelsons has been providing natural healthcare products to the general public since 1860 and today are the UK’s leading natural healthcare provider. Nelsons is also Europe’s longest established homeopathic manufacturer and the brand’s passion is producing holistic products to help with everyday common ailments and to maintain good skin.

I tested their Calendula cream, a multi-purpose cream for rough, dry, flaky and chapped skin. The cream features the purest extracts from the calendula (marigold) plant, the bold sunshine yellow flower displayed on the front of the packaging. It’s also packed with other nourishing ingredients, including shea butter and beeswax.

The cream is specifically designed to soothe and hydrate tired and sore skin which is dry, rough, chapped and/or flaky – but is suitable to be used as an everyday cream to moisturise, protect and nourish skin all year round.

I really like that the cream is non-scented so your not hit by any strong medicinal or flowery scents, which is common for this type of moisturiser. The cream itself is very light, it rubs in easily and leaves the skin feeling ultra soft with no greasy residue. My skin instantly feels moisturised and I’m impressed with how quickly the cream is absorbed.

Nelsons Calendula cream is so gentle, it’s suitable for even the most sensitive skin and can be used on the face, hands and body. I suffer from sensitive skin, especially on my face and I’m pleased to say that this cream did not irritate or cause any blotchiness, which often happens when I try new products.

The big bonus is the price! It’s only £5.39 for a 30g tube – and a little really does go a long way, I’ve been using my tube for weeks now and it’s nowhere near running out.
