Green People – Age Defy+ Tinted Moisturiser

‘Discover the UK’s first certified organic DD cream, a daily defence SPF15. This anti-ageing solution with sea fennel stem cells gives blendable coverage for a smooth and even skin tone.’

The UK’s first certified organic daily defence cream; Age Defy+ Tinted Moisturiser is one of Green People’s best-known products and has received raving reviews since its initial release. So I was pretty excited to try it for myself to see if it’s as good as everyone says!

Priced at £36 for 30ml, it’s not what you would call a bargain – but I’m a firm believer in you get what you pay for – and this product proves it. It’s packed with a variety of active ingredients, more than what you’d usually receive for a product of this type. Ingredients include sweet almond oil, jojoba seed oil, shea butter, sunflower seed oil, cotton seed oil, coconut oil and linseed oil – all of which moisturise and nourish the skin.

The main active ingredient is sea fennel stem cells, which stimulate cell renewal and reduce age spots. This is what gives the product its anti-ageing ability; the sea fennel naturally brightens and renews the skin. The DD cream also has an SPF of 15, not enough to skip your usual SPF completely but certainly a welcomed addition.

For a light-medium coverage, Green People recommend applying it to your cheeks, forehead and chin with your finger tips. Personally, I prefer a fuller coverage, so I apply with a foundation brush. The cream has a medium consistency and applies like an absolute dream; it glides onto skin and blends easily. I’m amazed at the coverage, red spots and imperfections instantly vanish and I’m left with glowing, natural-looking skin.

Not only does it cover well, it lasts all day too – I apply early morning and it’s still in place when I get home late evening. The application instructions on the packaging recommend using it after cleaning and/or exfoliating, and applying it sparingly to face, neck and décolletage. Since I suffer from dry skin, I still used my regular serum and moisturiser before applying – but this still didn’t affect its long-lasting power.

I tried the light colour, but there are two other shades available – ivory (for those with really light skin) and medium (for darker tones). If you’re not sure what colour you would need, Green People offer a tester bundle for only £1.80 so you can try all three shades!

98.4% of the total ingredients are from natural origin and 13% are from organic farming. It’s natural and organic cosmetics certified by ECOCERT Greenlife.

Overall, I think it’s a fantastic product and I’m really impressed with the coverage and pigmentation. It’s one of the very few products that make my skin look better after use; the ingredients nourish and hydrate the skin whilst wearing it. Green People say that daily use with reduce fine lines and wrinkles, increase cell turnover and optimise skin regeneration – ticking all boxes.
